jabber jabber

Cute Kyson has been taking his time in learning to talk. Grandma Kent says it's because he's been so focused on physical development- which is true- he has been very concerned with keeping up with his brother. Lately though (and ironically since I've started the process of getting him some speech therapy- though it hasn't STARTED yet) he has been jabbering away. He is learning new words DAILY now- when before we couldn't get him to even try and copy our words. He is even trying a few phrases out. Such as,"Want that" and "Didn't do it" (All VERY important words for a middle child to know). He also says "MiiiiaJooolie" and "Yooooda" and sometimes "Den" (For Kaden).
Other words he has picked up:
'Night-night'
'Boat'
'Read' (always in the command form)
If you ask him how old he'll be, "Too-a" while holding up 2 fingers.
'NO' (usually in conjunction with the word, 'Nap')
'Scooby-dooby-doo' (extremely adorable)
Here he is bonding with MJ

Here he is eating his pop rocks ice cream
I am convinced he is looking more and more like myself at that age-especially his cheeser smile...maybe I'll round up some pics and do a comparison. I'm SOOO excited for his birthday next week- I'm doing a dump truck dirt cake!

Noah didn't speak for a long time. I would say he didn't actually start forming words till after he was two. He developed physically very quickly, and I was told by a speech therapist that kids either develop physically or verbally very quickly, and the other is slower to catch up. Have you tried any sign with him? We taught Noah so much sign that most of our conversations until he was about three were in sign. He has probably a 250 word sign vocabulary. Don't worry, Kyson will catch up.
