Here are a few pics of my very first 'real' cake...don't laugh I know it looks a little sad! I didn't want to be a total idiot about my kids' birthday cakes from now on so I took the level 1 class at Michael's. It was pretty fun- I doubt I could have the patience/drive to ever do a lot of it, but it will serve me well for birthdays to come! It's confetti cake with strawberry filling and buttercream icing...yum!

That is so cool. I used to be a cake decorator at Harmons, but I think I have lost the talent. Its been so long. You did a good job!

I think it looks good! I love the colors and style as well. I try to do my kids cakes every year but soemtimes I cave and buy one. They start requesting harder ones each year though--Aj had He-man last year and it took me hours...Plus I had to search ebay for the cake pan.
