This year the Easter bunny conversation went like this:
Coming down the stairs to look for baskets:
Ky posing with his basket:
Kaden finding his basket:
With mom on the porch- too sunny!
With dad ready for church:
Kaden: Mom, how does the Easter bunny get inside?
Me: He just hops in through the window.
Kaden: Have you SEEN him?
Me: Yes-
Kaden: How big is the Easter bunny?
Me: About as tall as dad.
Kaden: HUGE like a GIANT?
Me: Yep.
Kaden: (worried now) Is he nice?
It was funny because I didn't really catch on until the end that he was asking these questions to find out if he should be scared at the idea of a giant rabbit breaking and entering...maybe I'll be more careful next time. The ensuing conversation was all about me trying to explain that the Easter bunny was just extra and the real meaning of Easter was about Jesus' resurrection. That resulted in some confusion- now he thinks that his great great grandmother (who passed away) and Jesus help the Easter bunny...oh well maybe next year! Here are some pictures- we have 9am church so no one was really happy to be awake for the camera.Me: He just hops in through the window.

Ha ha, that's funny. It's so hard trying to keep the whole Easter Bunny/Resurrection and Santa/Jesus' Birth things apart. I just try and say as little as possible...then it doesn't feel like I'm lying as much...
What a good looking family. I love matching Easter outfits!
Oh my heavens, that is the funniest conversation I've ever heard.
