We Made It!!

Well we've been in Idaho Falls for a week now! The kids have loved getting to know our neighbors and exploring our new city!
The view near our house

A morning at the park

We explored the Snake River walking path

Idaho Falls temple!

We also have fun playing at our new house! The basement is nice and big and makes a great super hero headquarters!

We did a little back to school shopping- Mia is modeling her new shirt and pants here.

This is the neighbor's kitten- Mia loves it! (Oh and the neighbor girls too!)

I think I counted 17 kids (including ours) between our 4 houses that share backyards- 11 of them are under 10! The kids are loving it and everyone here has been SO nice and welcoming!

Goodbye Hogle Zoo!

We finally got to see the new Hogle Zoo exhibit right before leaving town! Thanks to the cousins for letting us mooch their pass for a day! Especially DiDi for driving all the way there on her lunch to let us in! Uncle Cam was able to join us too!
They have grown so much since our last trip!

On the train :)

I love getting their picture in the Lion's mouth- I remember this from when I was little at Hogle!

They've all gotten tall!

On the elephant- the boys wanted to be sprayed by its trunk so they stood in front- I guess Mia didn't catch on as to why they were doing that and when she got sprayed she was so surprised she fell down and was scared! I felt so bad but it was kinda funny ;)

In the eagle's nest at Rocky Shores

On the lions

Mia with Uncle Cam!

Last time they were going to buy animal masks and decided on other toys instead- so THIS time Kyson knew it was his last chance for one. He is a pretty cute ape :)

Mia the snow leopard

Kaden got a snake that grows in water- we made sure he promised not to put this one in the toilet!

The kids loved seeing Rocky the polar bear- she was swimming laps right in front of them!

It was a great day!

Our Last Week in Utah

We had a great last week with our Utah friends! Here are some great pictures to prove it!
That's Chad on the bottom! Then Tyler, Uncle Cameron and Kaden.

We had one last big free-for-all swim party- thanks to the friends who could make it! We had a fun summer with you all!

The boys being pirate ninjas! Holly was a serious LIFE SAVER while our house was packed/loaded! She let us ALL play for two days straight :) We miss you guys daily!

Mia had fun goofing around with the movers :)

Life Changes...

Well it's happened- Tyler has a job offer from Idaho Falls and we've accepted! His current job was basically ruining our lives with negativity and stress. It was a "good job" with a great big company that would have been a life-long career had things worked out differently. As things are though, we are not willing to sacrifice happiness for some fancy-schmancy career. Even with our so far limited experience in the new company we can tell already it is 1000x more positive and uplifting. This will be a good thing for our family.

That doesn't mean I'm exactly happy to leave though...we have formed life-long friendships here in Utah that can never be replaced or re-created. I will miss my beautiful house and the good neighbors and of course my family. The good news is we are only 3 hours away- and only 2 hours from fun places like Yellow Stone and Jackson Hole. There's also great outdoor things to do close to IF--so everyone should come see us lots! :)
We only had 3 weeks between the offer and his start date- so right now I'm kind of frantically figuring out new schools, Dr.'s, soccer and a new job. Oh yeah and we found a cute house to rent in a fantastic neighborhood with one of the best schools- so that at least is done! Our current house will go on the market as soon as we vacate next weekend- so stay tuned for links and pics. If you know of anyone looking to buy in the Layton/Clearfield area we've got a steal of a deal for ya! PLEASE pray for us to sell quickly and pass it on to your friends/family.

Girl's Weekend in Park City 3rd edition!

This past weekend was the annual girl's trip to Park City! We did shopping, the Alpine slide, the Symphony and the Arts festival- it's such a great tradition! Mia was a trooper- she walked a LOT.

At the symphony at Deer Valley- they played Disney in concert! Mia sang and danced the whole time!!

At Baja Cantina- our fave!

On the Alpine slide- Mia wasn't scared at all!

Waiting in line :)

Watching the Olympics at the condo "In da mountains!"

On the way to PC...

Shopping!

Doing gymnastics at the condo with Aunt Erica :)

Mia was so proud of her new big girl necklace- she really wanted one from Chico's but I convinced her to go for something more her size :)

Riding the pony at the outlets- silly face girl!

Random Summer Picture Post!

Mia loves the sandbox daddy made!

Fruits of summer

Hanging out with Lola on the porch

Handsome Ky on preschool graduation day!

At the tree house!

Kaden is getting good at chess

Pulling a face for daddy

Hanging with Uncle Cameron and Jagger (her "yittle doggie")

Mia at fireworks on the 4th- I didn't get any good pictures of that day! It was fun though :)

Jagger likes to swim! He was only 8 weeks old and jumping in on his own!

Kaden likes Jagger too-

Only the best daddies paint finger nails :)
So that is a smattering of pictures- I haven't been very good at taking pictures because we've been busy...big changes coming!
