On the way home today I had a funny conversation with Kaden.

Kaden: We're going to have 2 daddys huh?

Me: (Double-take!) What!? What do you mean?

Kaden: Well when I grow up I'm going to be a daddy too!

Me: Oh, ok. Soo you're getting married and having kids? How many?

Kaden: 28!

Here is a peek into Mia's nursery- it's not done yet but getting there.

Here is her crib, my Grandma made her cute bedskirt, and my mom and Grandma helped make her quilt (it's SOOOO soft). The bumper is mesh to reduce the risk of suffocation- not super cute but effective.

Check out her cute lamp- you'll never guess where I found it! There are others online for $50+ (it's EXACTLY like this expensive one I wanted in my earlier post)

Over the last couple of weeks there has been a lot of this:

I don't have a lot to say at this point...except I LOVE LOVE LOVE her, and having 3 kids is an adjustment. It will all change again when my mom leaves this Friday...so if you haven't heard from me by later next week please feel free to make sure we're all still alive.

We have had an eventful last few days! It started when I went to my normal 37 week checkup and was still measuring quite small for how far along I was. The Dr. sent me for an ultrasound to check the baby as well as the amount of amniotic fluid (the stuff that cushions the baby while in utero). That ultrasound revealed a very low amount of fluid, yet a very healthy baby...so we decided to check it again in another 2 days to see if it would improve or at least hold stable so the baby could stay inside and grow a little more. Since I was almost 38 weeks it was a hard decision to make- the baby would be fine if she were born and we would eliminate the risks of low fluid...at the same time she was doing so well despite the low fluid that it was also possible to just keep an eye on things and hope she grew. Anyway all of that was decided for us when on Thursday morning I definitely felt a loss of more fluid and felt prompted to get it checked out ASAP...after another ultrasound confirming further fluid loss and a LONG day being monitored in L&D my Dr. and the Perinatologist decided it would be best to get Mia out safe and sound.

So at 6:03pm on Thursday the 14th she was born- 5lbs15oz and 18.5inches! Here are some pictures...
