First Day of School 2012

Today the boys started school! Kaden is in first grade- it's his first time riding the bus AND staying all day. He is most excited to eat lunch with his friends.
Dad made them a special breakfast for the first day- "Cinnabon" cinnamon rolls from scratch!

Handsome Kaden

Dad walked him to the corner-

then he was ready to go the next block alone!

Kyson started his second year of preschool today too! He will go three days a week :)

Kaden's Camera

Kaden has been using my old camera and taking pictures of EVERYTHING during the move. I think it was actually very therapeutic for him. He said, "I don't want to forget ANYTHING about our old house." I'm not going to post all 200 of our things in boxes or all the ones of the inside of his closet-but he did get a few cute ones!

A moment of love- caught Ky by surprise :)

Kaden's Front Tooth!

Kaden pulled his first tooth on his own on Saturday! (His bottom teeth were extracted by the dentist last December.) The tooth was dangling forever and he finally just yanked it out! The other front one is loose as well- he is getting so grown-up!

Kyson's FIRST Day of Soccer!

Kyson has wanted to play soccer every since Kaden started two years ago and this year he is finally old enough! It was tricky arranging things on such short notice and switching to Idaho but we got him registered. (Kaden's age group was full but he wasn't too bummed at all). I'm not sure what their team name is but I think I hear them tossing around the idea of the "Fire Engines" since their uniforms have flames :) He has a great coach and I think he will learn a lot this year (if he can pay attention!)

Ready to go!

With his biggest fans- notice how Mia has inherited the first ever blue jersey from Kyson (who got it from Kaden)

We Made It!!

Well we've been in Idaho Falls for a week now! The kids have loved getting to know our neighbors and exploring our new city!

A morning at the park

We explored the Snake River walking path

Idaho Falls temple!

We also have fun playing at our new house! The basement is nice and big and makes a great super hero headquarters!

We did a little back to school shopping- Mia is modeling her new shirt and pants here.

This is the neighbor's kitten- Mia loves it! (Oh and the neighbor girls too!)

I think I counted 17 kids (including ours) between our 4 houses that share backyards- 11 of them are under 10! The kids are loving it and everyone here has been SO nice and welcoming!

Goodbye Hogle Zoo!

We finally got to see the new Hogle Zoo exhibit right before leaving town! Thanks to the cousins for letting us mooch their pass for a day! Especially DiDi for driving all the way there on her lunch to let us in! Uncle Cam was able to join us too!
They have grown so much since our last trip!

On the train :)

I love getting their picture in the Lion's mouth- I remember this from when I was little at Hogle!

They've all gotten tall!

On the elephant- the boys wanted to be sprayed by its trunk so they stood in front- I guess Mia didn't catch on as to why they were doing that and when she got sprayed she was so surprised she fell down and was scared! I felt so bad but it was kinda funny ;)

Mia with Uncle Cam!

Last time they were going to buy animal masks and decided on other toys instead- so THIS time Kyson knew it was his last chance for one. He is a pretty cute ape :)

Mia the snow leopard

Kaden got a snake that grows in water- we made sure he promised not to put this one in the toilet!

The kids loved seeing Rocky the polar bear- she was swimming laps right in front of them!

It was a great day!
