End of Summer Fun

August was a busy and fun month! Besides school there was Tyler's company BBQ (to raise money for United Way) Tony was there too! Kyson is probably his all-time biggest fan- he followed that tiger around EVERYWHERE and was always excited and surprised to see him (we actually went to 2 BBQs 2 nights in a row since they had different ones for different shifts).

Mia was NOT a fan of Tony.

Mia had her face painted and she sat perfectly still for it- she is getting so big!

We also went to the Davis County Fair! It was a little warm out but we found shade in the petting zoo and pony ride areas. Tyler was such a good daddy and waited in the long line with them to ride the ponies-

Kyson was not scared this year and rode all by himself!

Kaden was also braver this year and got to ride the biggest pony!

Mia rode the tiniest pony with daddy's help (sorry I cropped him, he was pulling a weird face :)

Oh yes we did! (Kyson was pulling a fit during this picture because he couldn't reach the face hole. So we didn't get one of him in it)

Other than that we've just been hanging out and finding our new routine, and enjoying the semi-cooler weather!
A peaceful morning before school
Sometimes we can spend about a half hour at the park between dropping Kaden off, and droping Kyson off!

Kaden started his second year of soccer! They are the White Lightening! This year's coach is a lot more structured and he is learning a lot!

First Day of School 2011

School was a BIG deal this year- Kaden started Kindergarten at North Davis Prep and Kyson started preschool for the very first time! The boys looked great and had a great first week! Kaden made lots of new friends, and Kyson didn't have any problems with me leaving him at school! Kaden now goes M-F for a half day and Kyson goes MW for 2 hrs. (So Mia and I get a couple of hours to ourselves twice a week- it's fun!)

Kaden likes his Iron Man muscles :) And doesn't he look neat in his uniform?

Kyson has a toy story bag and cute MONSTER shirt and shoes- the shirt has googly eyes- SO funny.

Big brother was reassuring Kyson all morning and telling him how fun school was!

MiaJolie can't pass up a photo shoot!

I'm so proud of my big boys! I know they'll do great and have a fun year!

Girls' Weekend!

This past weekend was our 2nd annual girls' weekend in Park City! MiaJolie was such trooper during this interruption in her routine- she had to sit in the stroller a lot and didn't fuss much at all.

The first day we shopped the outlets- Mia was not in the mood to shop but was happy enough to push her stroller around.

Here she is the first night in her jammies and pebbles hair-do :) (Sorry bad lighting)

Sleeping with Mia was like nocturnal bumper cars! She is ALL over the place. Here she is across the bottom of the bed.

The next day we hit the Olympic park! We rode the zip line and Alpine slide. Here is Ty's mom in front of me on the slide.
Mia is too little for those rides so she kept herself entertained again with the stroller.

This apparently wore her out :)

That night she got dolled-up for the Deer Valley Symphony concert

Mia and Mom at the concert

We went to the arts festival on the last day- it was so neat to see everything there. It was an awesome trip! Thank you Diana & Erica! We love you!

Zoo Day

Today Grana took us to the zoo! We got a late start due to thunderstorms but I'm so glad we went later in the day. It was only about 80 which was nice since it was SOOO hot last week.

Here are the boys and MiaJolie with the Rhino statue- this was near the new site for the Polar bear exhibit- it's going to be SO cool! It should open next summer. I am SO mad at myself though because this was the ONLY picture of MiJo I got ALL day- and this was her VERY first trip to the zoo :( Next time I'll have to take loads more.

Here's the boys with better smiles

This prarie dog was SO dang cute just sitting on his bum! They were my favorite to watch this trip- they're so affectionate and cuddly with each other!

On the T-Rex!
My monkey boys! The baby orangutans were SO funny- they were running around chasing each other wearing sheets like ghosts. Then Kyson started walking like the gorilla and then HE became the spectacle- so cute!

And that was it for pictures! I need an actual camera instead of my phone...The reason Mia wasn't in a lot was because she was in the stroller- and if I get her out then she REFUSES to go back in :-/ I'm such a lame mom...

Kyson saw a girl with a tiger mask there and wanted one SO bad! (He's SUCH a drama geek!) On the way home I asked if he wanted me to make him one and he was SO excited-- I think more excited than if we would have actually bought one. So anyway after baths we got to work-

Of course Kaden needed one- it had to be black with round ears like a Puma. Then HE needed to draw the teeth.

Thanks for the fun day, Grana!

I'm tacking this cute one of Mia on here- since she didn't get more at the zoo. This was after church yesterday- diva much?
