Blessing Day

Today was MiaJolie's blessing day. It was really special- she has so many friends and family who love her and came to support us! Daddy did a great job as always and Mia looked gorgeous...thank you everyone for coming- sorry the punch was sour :) Here are some pictures:

The family...yeah Kyson was exhausted so this is what we got!

Sweet Kaden

I just have to post about Kaden, the best 4 year old in the world! He has been so sweet and helpful especially with the addition of MiaJolie. He is so obedient (most of the time) and even goes further to help Kyson be obedient (sometimes he gets a little bossy...but he has good intentions). He does everything I ask and is always willing to do more. It starts when he wakes up in the morning (6 or 630am!) he has learned how to sneak out and lets Kyson sleep-in...then when Kyson wakes up (630 or 7) he takes him downstairs to play so I can get some more sleep. If Kyson is yelling 'eat, eat!' then Kaden gets them both yogurts from the fridge and even wipes up the mess Kyson makes on the countertop! Throughout the day Kaden continues to be the best big brother ever- playing 'super experts' with Kyson (sometimes he'd rather play PS3 but I ask him to play pretend with Ky instead and he will). It took some adjusting for them to do more playtime independent of me- at first all Kaden did was torture Kyson for the entertainment value- but now most days he is awesome with him. And when it comes to Mia, Kaden is endlessly patient and sweet. He tells her over and over how beautiful she is and how she doesn't have to cry, or he sings her "I Am a Child of God" to soothe her. I am so grateful for such a sweet and kind little boy- I couldn't do this without him!

Random McCutie Pies

Well here is another post full of random things...not too much going on here which is actually quite nice. We have fallen into a new routine and life is for the most part calm and NORMAL! We are getting excited for spring- heading to the park any chance we get. Kaden is finishing up his last couple of months of school and Kyson's 2nd birthday is fast approaching (in MAY!)...time flies!

Here is the car seat canopy I FINALLY finished- it is so much easier than using a blanket. It is also one of the few projects I did ALL on my own- including troubleshooting my ancient sewing machine.
I have to post a couple of pics of the boys...it's just too easy to post 100 Mia pictures because she has so many cute outfits. Kaden LOVES green. His new favorite book is "Go Away, Big Green Monster" They read it in school, I want to find a copy for him to have! He also loves the Legos Indiana Jones PS3 game- he is really good at it- I don't mind because it's all problem solving since he can't read any hints the game gives you! We are trying to interest him in karate or tumbling but he says he only wants to play soccer & guitar!
Kyson is getting big! He is a really good eater lately so he is finally gaining the weight he needs. He is still not saying much so we have an appointment to have him evaluated- hopefully nothing wrong but just want to get some help motivating him! His comprehension, social & physical skills are all up to par- just communicates in gestures and grunts! He loves Star Wars all of a sudden and asks to watch the movie 100xs a day. He also loves the playground and eating the lovely bark there (yuck!).
Mia in her puff
I LOVE this outfit- it truly feels like dressing a doll :) She seems to like it too-
And check out the capris- too sweet!
Mia loves to eat- we are still doing great with nursing! She also loves to smile and is figuring out how to use her hands to hit/feel things. I think she is about 10lbs now- her 2month check up will be late due to her Dr. being gone, but I will post when it happens. She loves it when her big brothers sing to her. We are blessing her March 28th at 11am...contact me if you're coming and need the address.

no good reason

I have no excuse for neglecting this blog other than the simple fact that I now have three kids...I've heard some grumbling from the East (MOM) so here's a smattering of pictures that will have to hold everyone over until we have some actual news to blog about.

Mia looking especially gorgeous- she always has this kind of mona lisa smile in her happy pics.
