Tigers Game

For Father's Day we went to the Tigers game in Detroit. They played the Brewers. It was really fun- Kaden just liked all the excitement of getting to our seats and eating ball park food. He followed a little of the game though because last night as we were going to sleep he said, "the white team threw the ball and the black team hit it with that bat and ran- I want to play that when I'm bigger!" He REALLY wanted a foam paw with claws and when papa finally caved you'd have thought it was Christmas- he was beaming. He refused to take it off all day- Kyson was a good baby- even though he was exhausted. We left during the 8th inning so I'm still not sure who won, but it was a fun experience!

From small and simple things...

Here is our small garden- we're doing a kind of square foot gardening technique but I fear we may have stuffed too many plants in there...our original plan was to build a second box but that has yet to materialize. We started some of them from seed, but a lot of those died early on so we got some starts from the garden center too.
We have along the far (long) wall carrots (they look so cute I just want to pull one up and see!), and cherry tomatoes (the HUGE plant), then we have 3 different squashes/zucchini plants (oh yeah get ready for some hand outs friends and neighbors), 3 different pepper plants, some onions, 2 early girl tomato plants, and finally my cute lettuce over in the right corner (the only one that worked out of like 5 starts). We wanted to do potatoes too but ran out of room. I think next year I want to try corn too.
We pretty much have no idea what we're doing- or when to harvest/replant. I guess this year will be our learning year.

Some videos on my mind...

Ok, this trailer is so cool I had to share...even though New Moon is not my favorite book in the saga, the movie looks awesome! I've watched it like 50 times today.

And as long as we're sharing videos, here is a State Farm commercial that makes me cry every time- I can't help it. I don't know why, I'm so dumb!
